Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Value score is the lowest category — Travellers rate the value for money slightly lower than other aspects, though several reviews still call the price reasonable for the area.
  • The area can feel seedy — The hotel sits near the main station, where guests note the presence of 'strange people' - though most agree it's safe if you stay alert.
  • Reception on the third floor, lift may not work — Some guests reported the elevator was out of order, meaning you may have to climb stairs with luggage.
  • Rooms can be small and basic — While clean and comfortable, some guests found rooms compact and the breakfast simple, reflecting the 2-star price point.

“The breakfast was excellent, with fresh pastries and everything tasting good.”

“After arriving by airport bus to Piazza Garibaldi, we found the hotel easily. It's on the 2nd-3rd floor with reception on the 3rd. We were checked in early, which was kind. They gave us a key to the main door, and we explored Naples all day - it's lively and original, not like northern Italy. The owners gave us a map and tips. The hotel is small, family-run, and great value for the location and price. The air conditioner heats the room quickly. Breakfast had coffee, juice, croissants, pastries, milk, and cereal. We visited Pompeii (train from Piazza Garibaldi, €2.6) and Sorrento (€3.9). Yes, there are 'strange people' near the station, but that's common in any city. We never felt unsafe, just stayed alert.”

“Great location near major transport hubs and many cafes and pastry shops. Staff were polite and explained everything clearly. The room was small but had everything I needed. No curfew - they gave me a key to come and go anytime.”

“Reception is on the third floor; the lift wasn't working, but our room on the fourth had air conditioning that saved us in cold weather. Breakfast was standard Italian - coffee, fresh croissants with fillings, bread, butter, jam. Close to the railway and metro at Piazza Garibaldi, and a 10-minute walk to an MD supermarket. Perfect for a two-night stay.”

“Central location and a nice little hotel - don't be put off by the stairs (it's on the first/second floor of a larger unit).”

“Warm welcome and good service, great value. Breakfast was simple but fine for the price.”
